Diving at Boka Pos Spaño
The beach is wide, but covered with coral stones. From the beach you enter the water, where you have to find a place where there is not too much coral close to the shore. When the sea is a bit rough, it can be difficult to get in and out of the water, because of the (dead) coral close to shore. So be careful.
The blue border is close to the coast. After a few minutes of swimming you can already go under water. The slope of the reef is a bit steeper than most other dive sites. It is here between 50 and 60 degrees. Coral density is high although there are wide stretches of sand here and there. There is a nice variety of coral and sponges. You will find many Orange Elephant Ear sponges here.
It is clear that this is a quiet place, because you will find many old and large sponges. In short, a nice place to dive.
